The Indianapolis 500 - Handmade in the Heartland

The Indianapolis 500

It's been a tradition in my family for over 40 years, it happens every memorial day weekend and with 500,000 people its the largest sporting event in the world. It is the great American racing spectacle of the Indianapolis 500!

Since i went to college in 2004 i haven't been able to go so this was my first race in 5 years and Matt's first race EVER! i was so excited to take him considering he has such a need for speed. He thought it was awesome and we had a great time with the fam. Matt's birthday is tomorrow and so they brought up a cake and we had a little hotel birthday party on Saturday night. On our way home we stopped and stayed in Mt.Vernon with my grandparents and also saw Great-Grandma Ruby, which is always fun.

Enjoy the photos!
Everyone except Alex who was looking the other direction for some reason?!
