Jammin. - Handmade in the Heartland


I just made 2 batches of Matt's Grandma Johnson's Freezer Jam. Here is the recipe for those that are interested:
1 pkg Sure-Jell
1/4 lemon juice
4 cups of pureed strawberries
put those ingredients together and let sit for 1/2 hour

Add 5 cups of sugar
1 cup of corn syrup
All in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 5-7 minutes, or longer, until the sugar is dissolved
Then put into your containers and in the fridge and freezer!
It helps if you double it- to add TWO packages of surejell- i realized AFTER everything was in containers that i doubled everything BUT the Surejell- so we have a little bit soupy jam. Matt still likes it so O Well!
