Did you know that if you put a pyrex baking dish in the oven, let it heat up and then pour water in it, the dish will explode? did you know that, because i sure didn't. Why was i pouring water into a hot dish you ask? well because i don't have a broiler pan, and my french bread recipe calls for that under the pan with the bread dough- it makes the crust crispy. i figured, well the dish is oven safe, it will be ok. boy was i wrong. Let's just hope we don't die from chards of glass in any of our food.
