Postcard from Paris - Handmade in the Heartland

Postcard from Paris

Bonjour! Greetings from Paris! It has been an exhausting whirlwind, but we have seen so much for 2 and half days. Our favorite view of the city kept changing with each new site we visited, but ultimately we loved the view from Notre Dame because we could see the beautiful Eiffel Tower. The pictures above were taken this evening on the top of the Arc de Triomphe. We loved going up the Eiffel, however, although it might sound like a funny joke that the french word for stairs is "escaliers", which looks a whole heck of a lot like escalator, its not funny when you realize you purchased the wrong ticket and have to walk up, not just to the first level but the second of the Eiffel Tower. oh and did i mention your pregnant, and your feet already hurt. When we had about reached the end of the stairs and i was near tears and cursing the french in my mind, Matt burst out laughing and said we would laugh about this later and that it was a great story. In case your wondering thats 1021 stairs. We also walked to the top of Notre Dame and the Arc- who needs a stairmaster in Paris??

I'm exhausted so i'm going to hit the hay, but just a note for family who are worrying about us, we are totally fine, feeling very safe and enjoying every minute. We are off to Luxembourg tomorrow! Au Revoir.
