Girls Camp 2011 - Handmade in the Heartland

Girls Camp 2011

So i am home. Most of you didn't know i was gone, but i was, for a whole week. away from my bebe. It was for a good reason- i was asked to be the director for my church's youth girls camp last year and this year. It was a long but wonderful week. Our theme for the week was "Your Happily Ever After" taken from a talk by President Uchtdorf. Throughout the week we found opportunities to remind the girls that they truly are daughters of a Heavenly King who loves them. We had some fun activities, lots of fabulous campfire food and plenty of laughs. I love getting to know these young women and be reminded of how wonderful they are. I also found a few babysitters :) Here are some fun photos from the week.

I decorated the lodge the first night for a "princess" dinner for the YCL's (Youth Camp Leaders- all the girls ages 16-18)
On Tuesday night we had an activity where the girls were given different materials and had to make a wedding dress in an allotted amount of time.
and then they walked the runway...
One night we had a tournament between the different wards.. it was very fun!
