I love decorating my house for Christmas, we don’t even spend the 25th here but its so nice to celebrate the entire month in a decorated home.  I didn’t decorate last year because it was a hectic time for our family but this year everything came out and after acquiring a lot more items over the last two years i had so much fun decking the halls.
We love the vintage 1800’s maps we found on ebay that we hung in our hallway on the main floor, we bought maps for each place we’ve lived and then also the place we got married. I wanted to add a print to the hallway for the season so i designed the ‘O come all ye faithful’ print, and i love the way it adds to the gallery wall. Scroll down to the bottom of the post to download it for free and print it yourself! I printed it on 11×17 card stock at office max.
My mom scored the below 12 days of Christmas plates at an estate sale and i love them! At first i didn’t know what to do with them besides use them as dessert plates, but they were so beautiful i decided to display them on the wall in the entry and i love it.  I hung them with the small metal hook command hooks and because you could still see part of the hook i covered them with little red bows, easy fix.

So the last time we decorated my walls were bright apple green and i had purchased a bright white Christmas tree from treetopia (awesome site btw), but the white tree just felt to pop-ie and modern for the new cream walls and vintage-y/rustic-y idea i was going for this year so i came across this adorable flocked tree at wal-mart of all places! At $130 it wasn’t too expensive and i love the way it looks.  My mom always gets a real flocked tree and I seriously thought about it, but here’s the thing with 2 toddlers i am already constantly cleaning up messes and i think if i added pine needles on the floor my anxiety level my blow through the roof, anyone else feel like they are at the top of their “i can only handle this much” scale?! all that to say i really love my tree… 🙂

Here are the prints.  You can download the red print HERE, its sized to 11×14 so it can be printed out on 11×17 paper and then fit in an 11×14 frame.  (side note i have an different 11×17 print that i cannot find a ready made frame for anywhere! so annoying).  You can download the black and white one HERE, its sized to 8.5×11.
