I'm pretty sure i daily wish i could wake up and my closet would be filled with everything in the J.Crew catalog, anyone else? Because i get mom guilt for spending $80 bucks on a cardigan i rarely go in the store and honestly Matt buys me most of the nicer clothes in my closet for gift-giving holidays - and by that i mean like every holiday i can make up an excuse for us to buy gifts for each other :).  One great thing about buying high quality pieces is that they last.  The olive cardigan in this outfit was purchased 5 years ago and is still going strong with lots of use.

When i really feel like its spring i pull out the white jeans.  I love white jeans, i love that i can put almost anything in my closet with them and it looks great.  However, being a mom means the white jeans only come out when i'm going somewhere sans kids- because goodness knows those babies would have ketchup, chocolate, dirt and who knows what else all over them.  These white jeans are from Gap from several years ago, but i'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a pair at almost any retailer- make sure you try them on and see if they are too sheer, i love that these are thick enough that i have no worries about showing more than i want.  A good pair of white jeans can do wonders for your wardrobe and your mood!

Has anyone else pretty much given up high heels? I feel so sad saying that and so lately i've been trying to go there- back to being able to walk in cute wedges, pretty stilettos and perfect pumps but lets face it toting around toddlers is not heel friendly.  It is however a great consolation that there are fabulous flats and these leopard print ones add a little pattern to outfits. Don't be afraid to mix prints, i'm usually not a huge print mixer but since my pants were solid and the shirt had a small print on it i found that i loved the leopard print shoes with it all.  Matt hates animal prints, i think he's gotten more used to them in small doses but i used to never buy anything with any sort of animal print, isn't that funny? is anyone else's husband animal print averse?

The only "new" item in this look is the navy shirt that i found at the J.Crew factory store right after Christmas for a great price, but when i got home i "shopped" my own closet and put this together.  I had no idea this was the outfit i was going to wear when i bought the shirt but sometimes all you need is one new piece to create a fun new outfit with whats already in your closet.
