Who doesn't love to find a killer deal? I love when I can find exactly what I want for a fraction of the cost. That being said I'm not one to spend hours a week on clipping coupons (tried that and failed) and I kind of hate garage sales (probably because I don't want to tote my kids around from sale to sale) so that may explain why Ditto is always my first stop when I'm in need of clothes. Ditto is a resale boutique in Kansas City, the northland location is on barry rd. and super close to my house so that's nice, they have a location down in Lenexa as well as Lawrence. I always always find something when I go in and the average price for items is like $12. I just went on a mini shopping spree during the memorial day sale and got a pair of Joes Jeans, 2 other pair of colored gap jeans, 2 shirts, 2 skirts and 2 dress all for $78!
In my opinion the store employees and "buyers" are responsible for my successful ditto shopping trips. As you can see below they have a buying counter where you can take your clothing and they will look through and purchase what they want. For me ditto has a more adult feel that platos closet (I ventured in there the other day and walked right back out), more sophisticated but still cool and trendy. The store associates are friendly and helpful and know how to pick good items, which is why I always leave with a smile on my face and bag in my hand. :)
I love that they carry maternity items, when I was pregnant I purchased a good amount of clothes here including some gap maternity denim shorts that I wore the heck out of. They have great shoes and accessories and great sales. For memorial day it was buy 1 get 1 free of certain items and buy 1 get 1 50% off of other items. I got a dress and a skirt for free!
Ditto carries high end designers and a good selection of high end denim. Lately I've been back and forth between sizes and so it just isn't in my budget to keep buying $200 jeans every 6 months, Ditto has been my source for great denim way cheaper than retail. for example the Joes Jeans I bought last weekend were only $40, they look like new and fit perfect, what more could I ask for?
I love to go to Ditto when I'm in the mood to shop but just can't afford to break the bank. Have you ever had one of those days where you just need some retail therapy but will feel guilty if you spend a lot of money? yeah that's one of the many reasons I head over. If you are in KC and haven't checked it out you must go!
