Summer Gift Guide with Uncommon Goods - Handmade in the Heartland

Summer Gift Guide with Uncommon Goods

It's that time of year when I seem to be scrambling for gifts of all kinds.  I've partnered with uncommon goods to show you some of my favorite items for gift giving. Uncommon goods is a unique retailer that is committed to featuring handmade gifts and provide a platform for artist and designers. The events that I have coming up this summer fall into these 3 categories: Weddings, Father's Day & Kid Birthdays.  Fret no more uncommon goods has really unique fun gifts for everyone!

So a lot of times people want you to buy from their registry, which is of course easy and great but if I know a couple really well a personalized gift can mean so much more.  Uncommon goods has a really awesome selection of personalized gifts that will be forever cherished by the newlyweds.  I mean how cute are those little love bird clay bowls? and that faux bois throw?! I love that so many items on UG are handmade, actually around half of what you'll find on the site is. They have some really fun home decor and garden items that would be perfect for wedding gifts, you can see them all HERE. Keep reading for my gift picks for dads & kids.
And then there's the men in our life.  Why are they so hard to shop for?! I have the hardest time coming up with gifts for my husband and dad so it's nice that uncommon goods has a huge selection of manly items that are totally gift worthy.  You'll find gifts for the dog lover, the music lover and the sports guy. My dad and husband are golf geeks so the cufflinks that are made with golf balls from the famed TPC Sawgrass golf course would for sure be a hit.  Matt actually owns that cool little wood nose eyeglass holder and uses it every night, and the desk accessories below are kind of hilarious- the fbomb paperweight and you nailed it desk organizer are perfect for the funny guy in your life.

I love their selection of kids toys, they are different and fun and totally worthy of giving to your child for their birthday or sending off to your niece or nephew. It was totally a throw back moment when I saw the colorforms book, I haven't seen one of those in years and I loved playing with mine way back when, it's def. going in my cart to pull out when my kids are a little bit older.  Those colored pencils are scented (cool!) and the comic book kit is perfect for a summer activity for a kid who wants a project. I though the magnetic blocks looked genius and can you see your kid going around making balloon animals for all their friends with that kit? So fun, right?!

As you can see I'm totally in love with Uncommon Goods and all the unique and awesome items they carry.  There is literally SO much more, I didn't even touch on all the things I want for me! Hop on over and check it out. P.S is it friday yet?!
