We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints otherwise known as "The Mormons". We are proud of this part of who we are! We are excited to team up with over 65+ of us strong... to extend an invitation to see a film. A film entitled "Meet The Mormons". This film is not meant to be an "in your face" - you must join our church film. It is simply designed and produced to uplift and inspire you through six stories of those of our faith who have followed promptings to follow Christ more fully in their lives. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this film. We hope your hearts are made light as you feel the goodness that comes from following our Christ and Savior. All proceeds from the film will be donated to The American Red Cross. So not only will you be uplifted and inspired, your money will be going to an amazing charity!!

We also would like to take a moment and share our personal testimonies, stories of our own personal conversions, and our own stories of how following our Savior, Jesus Christ has changed our lives. The light of the gospel of Jesus Christ offers a joy and hope that only following Him can provide. We hope as you click through and read our stories and testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you will feel uplifted and encouraged. We are by you! We love connecting with our readers, that is why many of us do what we do! Please be kind and considerate in your comments. It takes great bravery for us to open our hearts and our mouths to share with you such a tender and personal part of who we are. We share because we feel strongly the need to share the peace and the hope that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A lot of you know that I am a mormon, but you may not know what I believe or why.  My simple words today are about my Savior Jesus Christ.  I know He lives, I know that He knows me personally and cares deeply about me individually as well as you. I believe that He was a perfect human being sacrificed for us, a ransom made so that we as imperfect people could become clean.  I know that there is a divine plan for our lives and I know that if I pray sincerely I will receive answers from God.

The first time I truly knew that God was real was when I was around 12 years old.  I was having a very rough day, feeling alone and sad and I was crying face down on my bed.  I kept praying over and over in my head "Are you there Heavenly Father? I need to know you're there" a very clear answer came to my mind that said "open your scriptures" I opened my scriptures, which were sitting on the nightstand next to my bed, and they fell open to a page in the Doctrine and Covenants- the first verse my eyes fell up on was 6:34 and it reads:

Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.

As soon as I read those words I knew that He was real, living and cared about me just as I had been taught.  In that instant I had an overwhelming peace come over me that I know can only come through His love.  This moment truly changed my life because after that I have never doubted divine worth as a daughter of God, I have never wondered if I was alone because I know He is always there.

I love to share my beliefs with others because the faith that I have brings me peace and joy daily and don't you want to share the things that make you happy? Truly there is nothing in my life more meaningful than my faith in my Savior.  Because of it I strive to better mother, wife, friend and woman.  Because of my faith I feel a real purpose in my life beyond coming up with new recipes and making cute crafts.  I know that my redeemer lives, its that simple and yet means so very much.
