Easy Dinner with Demarle
So it’s official i have a new side job, last week i signed up and became a rep for Demarle at home. Although I had been thinking about earning extra money the real reason I became a rep is because I’m super obsessed with the products. Have you heard of the silpat? It’s the silicone/nonstick mat that goes inside your cookie sheets and everything that you bake on it comes off like a dream. Well Demarle is the company that makes those as well as an entire line of awesome baking molds, cool shaped muffin trays and even a cake pop tray! My friend Mindy is a rep and she totally got me hooked because everything i cook or bake in these bad boys turns out perfect. Seriously you might think i’m exaggerating but i’m not. All of their products are made with food grade silicone and woven glass, and they have a patent on it so any other silicone bakeware you see probably has some crazy chemical in it making it cook, because silicone does not conduct heat- the glass does and perfectly even i might add. The muffin tray is my favorite because everything just pops right out- muffins, cupcakes, frozen baby food (did i mention they work in the freezer?!). The only other thing i’ll say on my little rant here is that the clean up is easier than anything i have ever ever in my life seen. Seriously stuff that would have to soak for an evening on a glass pyrex dish just wipes away, it’s pretty freakin’ amazing. Anyhow, I thought i might start a weekly post where I show my Demarle products and share recipes. If you’re in Kansas City and interested in hosting a party let me know just like any other shop at home type business the hostess benefits are awesome- i just hosted a party before i became a rep and i got $300 in free product! it was SO worth it 🙂
So here’s what i just made tonight. Easy Garlic Chicken & Roasted Veggies
Start out with some delicious local farm fresh veggies
Roasted Cauliflower & Carrots
Preheat the oven to 425
-Chop up whatever veggies you want and add an onion for good flavor
-Toss them all in a bowl with enough olive oil to lightly coat, as much kosher salt and pepper as you like and a tablespoon of minced garlic
-After everything is tossed together put it on your deep flexipat. I love this mold because it’s super versatile its kind of like a 9×13 pyrex pan meets a cookie sheet. Place it in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the veggies have charred areas.
This chicken is so easy, and i use the large round mold, another great super versatile mold. I made a cheesecake in it a few weeks ago, microwaved my veggies in it last night and tonight i’m baking chicken in it!
2 chicken breasts cut in half
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
Mix the garlic and oil together and pour over chicken, i used a spatula to spread it over the tops of each piece. Then sprinkle brown sugar over it all. Then pop it in the oven with your veggies at 425 and cook for 20 minutes or so, until your breasts are done, it all depends on the thickness.
Here they are in the oven
And the chicken is done.
Veggies are done
Doesn’t that look like a good little dinner? easy peezey!
