Mother’s day is only 11 days away and I’ve been busy working on some handmade gifts to share with you all! First up is a cute and easy idea to add a personal touch to any gift you are giving. I designed these fun gift tags for you to download for free and print out. I printed mine on card stock at office max but you can easily print it on a home printer as well.
Your mom is of course the one who gets the royal treatment on Mother’s day but i’m sure like me, many of you like to deliver gifts to grandmothers, sisters-in-law and other women who have played a role in your life. I made these tags with the thought that they could adorn many different gifts. I love a bundle of fresh flowers and even more if they are resting in a chalk painted mason jar! Chalk paint is so popular that you can find it at almost any craft store, i picked some up at JoAnn’s, painted a layer of the cream color on, let it dry, sanded off in areas where there was raised text and then painted on a coat of the clear wax. Tie your tag on with some fun bakers twine (which is so popular that i found it in the dollar spot at target a few weeks ago!) and you’ve got a beautiful gift.
Everyone needs some beautiful pot holders and most people don’t think to purchase their own. This fun pair came from Pryde’s in Old Westport. If you are in Kansas City and haven’t visited recently you must swing by, there are so many beautiful things that any mother would love!
Homemade food gifts are always popular and this year i’m going to be passing out some of my favorite coconut granola, you can find the recipe HERE. Tie a glass jar off with some twine and one of these tags and your recipient will think you are a domestic diva.
