Naturopathic Medicine In Kansas City
Ok friends, what do you think about naturopathic medicine? If you had asked me that question about a year ago I would have said that it sounds like hippie medicine that probably doesn’t work. Then our family had a pretty amazing experience where my step-father was seriously ill and no one could help him, until he went to see a naturopathic doctor in Seattle. He was super sick with a rare kidney disease that had already taken one of his kidney’s and his ND was the only one that would eventually help him.

You’ll never believe what helped him – celery. It’s a crazy story, but honest to goodness true. After months and months of pain and agony, going from doctor to doctor in Wyoming and even spending weeks at the Mayo Clinic, the thing that took away his pain and helped cure his body was celery. His doctor also gave him an herbal tincture for pain but the celery was the key component to his treatment. There is so much more to this story and if you want I can maybe have Doug write it all out for you, so leave a comment if you’d like to hear more. But today, I’m excited to tell you that I’ve been seeing a naturopathic doctor here in Kansas City at Mosaic Life Care Journey and I love him!
After being around for Doug’s naturopathic healing experience I was super interested when I got an email from my doctor’s office (Mosaic Life Care) stating that they were bringing a new ND on board. I called and made an appointment to talk with him about my thyroid issues and general health. GUYS. I have been so impressed with the ND’s style of medicine. I left a message on the clinic’s voicemail and then received a call back quickly after. It wasn’t a receptionist, it was Dr. Andrews. He asked me what I was wanting to be treated for and then explained that his first appointments are an hour and a half.
At the first appointment, Dr. Andrews sat with me for the entire hour and a half. It was pretty amazing – a doctor giving his full attention to the patient for that amount of time. We discussed my entire medical history and he took notes. He wanted to know things other doctors had not asked and he was interested in the entire picture of my life.

For the last part of the appointment, we talked about some further tests that he wanted to have done to get a better picture of my health and then he also recommended some supplements for my specific needs and a few key diet changes.

The event sounds awesome and if I didn’t have to be in Nashville for my brother’s wedding, I would totally be there! Guests will enjoy a variety of healthy, gourmet appetizers as they participate in interactive activities designed to introduce holistic health concepts. The first 20 attendees will receive a coupon for 20 percent off a single Healthy Living Clinic appointment.
“The Open House gives our guests the opportunity to get familiar with our location and meet the providers. It’s a good time to find out more about holistic health care and hear about what we can offer to boost your wellness. We hope it will give our guests some practical help in improving their health and encourage them to come back to learn more,” said Dr. Charles Andrews, ND.
So mark your calendars and plan to attend the open house! I know you will be so impressed with Dr. Andrews!
