Apple Spice Cake with Caramel Sauce

Apple Spice Cake with Caramel Sauce Recipe
I love this apple cake just the right amount of spice with real shredded apples in it, it tastes like fall in your mouth. I love when I have a simple dessert I can whip out and serve to friends in a pinch.  In the fall I always have apples in my house so its a no brainer to make this for game night or a potluck, or you could just whip it up to enjoy for yourself because you totally deserve it. 🙂

I prefer to shred apples instead of chop, I feel like the flavor permeates the cake more thoroughly and its easier to cut and eat without chunks of apples in it.  The spice mix of this cake is delicious and its if you like change it up, If a recipe doesn’t have all the spices in it I think it should I will often toss in a 1/2 a tsp of something else to my liking.  You’ll never ruin anything with just a 1/2 a tsp.

There is not a lot better than a moist cake, am I right? (oh btw I totally hate saying that word- moist) But seriously I think I could eat cake for every meal, I’m a total cake lover. 🙂 And of course this recipe uses the best caramel sauce ever that I’m putting on everything this fall!

For this cake I used a brand new mold from Demarle at Home- the bavarian mold.  Isn’t it gorgeous?! If you are unfamiliar with Demarle products they are amazing, completely non-stick bakeware so without any spray or extra butter this cake literally fell out of the mold after it was baked and cooled.  Its kind of amazing. I am a consultant for Demarle so if you are interested in this mold or any others email me! I’m always looking for Kansas City peeps to host cooking workshops!
