Burlap & Plaid Christmas Banner

Merry Christmas Burlap & Plaid Banner
Hey friends, if you’ve been reading this blog for a little while you’ve probably noticed that i love to make little banners to go on the shelves in my living room and redecorate them for different holidays/seasons. I went with circles this time and i love the way it turned out.  I made some throw pillow covers out of red plaid and then used the same plaid as the background for the letters.  I love seeing how everyone decorates for Christmas in person and online, it so fun!
To make this simple banner cut out burlap circles, mine have a 6″ diameter.  Then cut out circles from another fabric, my plaid circles have a 4.5″ diameter. To cut out the letters i used my silhouette cutter and backed the fabric with heat bond so that once the letters were cut out all i had to do was iron them on to the plaid.  I sewed the plaid to the burlap and then ironed on the letters, i was in a rush so i didn’t attach them to the twine i just pinned them on with clothespins.
