Our baby Ruby is 7 months old, 7 months!?! Although I haven't slept through the night in ages I still can't believe the time is moving so fast. I'm pretty sure one of our sleeping problems is that she is hungry and having such a hard time eating pureed food. I swear my other kids picked up the whole spoon into mouth thing so much quicker than she is. It's be 3 months of her shoving everything out of her mouth with her cute little tongue, I know she needs more nutrition and I'm pretty sure the only answer is to keep trying several times a day and eventually she'll get the hang of it. Ah! I like to mix pureed baby food with Gerber baby cereal's to make them thicker and a little more vitamin rich. I also find myself with extra cereal and it's great to bake with! What happens when all of the sudden your baby is a toddler and you have boxes of baby cereal left? I'm on my 3rd babe and I'm certain this situation will happen- it did with both my other kids! Instead of throwing it out, use it for cooking! These dairy-free banana flax muffins are delicious- my 5 year old made sure to tell me he loved them, and they use up 1 1/2 cups of baby cereal.
